Wealthy Affiliate Review 2019 | Challenge Day 65-77
Thank you for tuning in to the wealthy affiliate review 2019 challenge. I’ve posted quite a few articles for my site already so I’m actually getting ready to wrap up the challenge pretty soon. I hope you’ve been enjoying the journey so far.
I know there are a lot of wealthy affiliate reviews out there so I hope mine is providing you with a lot of value. Anyway, in today’s video, I cover the importance of targeting your keywords correctly.
Keywords are the foundation of your campaign, and in essence, determine how much traffic you get, your search engine ranking position, and how much you earn. As shocking as this may sound, the slightest mistake in picking your keywords could result in a significant loss of time, money and energy.
So, in the beginning, try your best to get it right the first time for every keyword you select. You don’t want to target keywords that are so competitive that you never end up ranking on the first page, and you don’t want to target keywords with a low volume of traffic which will produce low earnings for you.
As you’ll see me demonstrate in the video, there are three main factors you want to look out for as you select your keywords; the amount of monthly traffic the keyword receives, the QSR (quoted search results) also known as the competition level, and the SEO, which reveals your chances of ranking on the first page with some decent SEO.
As you grow accustomed to these three elements, the next thing you need to focus on is keyword placement. Many people think that putting your keyword in your article multiple times along with related keywords will increase the chances of ranking your article.
This couldn’t be further from the truth, as I’ve actually tested out this theory myself. If you were to try out such a thing, on the contrary, it would actually have the exact opposite effect, and you wouldn’t rank for any keyword.
Whereas, if you target a keyword once in your article, and put it in your meta title, meta description, and permalink, then this is more than enough to rank for multiple keywords known as LSI (latent semantic index) keywords.
